Skäpar is Hosting the 2nd Annual Sunset Social on the Lake Fundraising Event for ODI
Nate Mielke, founder of Skäpar | Design & Build, is inviting you to join the team at the Wayzata Yacht Club for our 2nd annual Sunset Social on the Lake on the evening of July 23, 2025. This night of fun and philanthropy benefits a local non-profit with a global reach in their mission of community.
Operational Dignity International is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Ghana, West Africa, by leveraging natural assets such as the land, existing medical services, and tribal governance systems. They support impactful projects that empower the villages of Ghana to create sustainable change.
Achieving sustainability is a COMMUNITY 360 approach of fostering economic development and improving access to education and healthcare.

Sunset Social on the Lake is an annual Cocktail Hour Fundraiser at the Wayzata Yacht Club benefiting the mission and projects of Operational Dignity International.
The evening of July 23rd is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of others while you enjoy a night of networking, entertainment, goodwill, and philanthropy at the Wayzata Yacht Club!
We’re raising funds to help provide essential housing for medical personnel, a fully equipped laboratory, and critical testing kits and medicines for medical professionals at the Ahyiyem Medical Healthcare Center in rural Ghana, West Africa
Here are some of the highlights you can expect when you attend the 3 PM happy hour scheduled event:
- Enjoy delectable canapés from local Chef Alex Youngblood
- Wine and beer will be available along with non-alcoholic options
- Musical entertainment (watch our social media pages for special announcements)
- Silent auction, 50/50 raffle & door prizes (must be present to win)
We need your help to make it successful.
We’re seeking sponsors for our wine and beer station, event entertainment, and general support. We are also looking for silent auction donations to be a part of our limited list of auction items at the event. Recommended auction items are ones that provide an exceptional experience. Think sporting events, theater events, an evening out on the town, travel experiences, etc.
Sponsors will be promoted in Operation Dignity International’s social media profiles, highlighted on ODIGhana.org, highlighted in select networking resources, and in print atop tables at the event.
So, what’s next?
